"But I can express my self better in Bahasa instead of English…" I replied.

"Actually what is the objective for you to blog? " my hubby replied back.

"Well, actually it is like journaling. Put things in written for me and specially the kids to read in the future to reflect back of our current life. Oh yeah, my friends and family too follow this as they are across the ocean and want to get update and glimpse of our life."

"That is the point. Do all of your friends and family and specially our kids speak Bahasa? How about making versions of Bahasa, Japanese, Urdu or just make one version of.."

"English, I know"

I should be ready. At least should not shock when it came. Enough experience I encountered: I got it once when I was twenty, my sister got it twice in front of my very own eyes. But when these bubbles start to appear all over Ken’s body, I was still shaken. Goose bumps on the back of my neck. Ken got chicken pox (Varicella) ! In other word: Mizu boso, Cacar air, Kukkla kekkla.

I thought it was a normal nappy rash that evening when I change his diapers before bed. But in the morning I was shocked to see those rashes change into hundreds of water bubble on the skin with many other red dots ready to burst. Oh my God…this looks like the scene I saw on my skin thirteen years ago.
Still fresh in my mind how helpless I felt seeing the bumps appear on my skin like the plant on a fertile spring soil. How they changed to darken and dried brown dot after days. The worst was the itch feeling all over…well, correction, I can say second worst compare the total worry that these bubbles will leave a permanent mark on my skin….I was not toddler then, I was a young lady!
And now my one year old boy has to go through this…. I hope it will be easier his innocence and the fact that his skin tissue will still be renewed by mother nature like a thousand times before he enter the smooth-skin-concern-age.
The doctor in the emergency room of Kaihin Hospital confirmed this.

I told Raisa not to come close to his brother. Don’t touch. Wash your hand again and again. But to my dismay, she is not only touches him. She hugs and kisses him when I was not around. She said she feel so sad to see Ken sick and want to comfort him by hugs and kisses. How sweet.
OK, I leave it to God. If Raisa have to get this (even after her varicella immunization years back), let it come quick and easy. I prepared her mentally. Not easy though as she is five and feel as pretty as a princess.
Hubby too never get this in his life. But the doctor said not to worry as in Japan the chicken pox is almost none hit the adult, not after thirty years ago his said. Cross my finger, I just pray.

Today is day-4. All bubbles out. Drying up. With his chubby little fingers he tries to scratch his head. But Mommy has cut his nail so short. I pray to God to let the times moving double or triple faster these days. As I know this heal with time only.
